. . . . Deepak Chopra is a prolific author and successful. It also creates great games - Who can resist the offer of "perfect health;" I checked the library, because I had to see if the address book with the title. Chopra leads us to what he called "quantum mechanical human body. "Theory is that« the treatment of the underlying quantum mechanical body itself, Ayurveda can bring about changes far beyond the reach of conventional medicine, which is limited to the level of gross physiology. "Sounds good. Let the devils, details. First we need evidence to know what your body, Vata, Pitta or Kapha, or a combination of both. We learn that these names also refer to doshas, the «metabolic principles. "By implication, we assume that we keep these doshas in balance or health will suffer. We learn from twenty-five gunas or fundamental qualities. We learn the sub-doshas. We address how to balance the Doshas: diet, exercise, daily routine, the routine of the season. Then we have the right, open the channels of healing. This includes panchakarma, meditation, primordial sound, Pulse diagnosis, treatment Marma, the art of happiness, aromatherapy and music therapy Gandharva. That's where my problems with this book began. After convincing me of the value of meditation, I discovered that "meditation is to learn from an instructor, you can not learn from a book. "primordial sound, I have read," is a treatment by a qualified ayurvedic physician after a full diagnosis of the patient. "So,« every patient who comes in consultation with the doctor Ayurvedic, given systematic pulse diagnosis. "Most clinics provide specific Marma Ayurvedic treatment that includes instructions for treatment at home. "For the art of happiness," Teaching is a professor who is also the Ayurvedic physician and takes about an hour, a full medical evaluation before the actual teaching. "Finally, in aromatherapy, you will find something we can do for ourselves, but he carried on page 317, where we can find sources of oil, the scent of blood vessels and diffuse. Music Ghandharva also requires no instruction beyond the book, except, of course, we have an obligation to buy films and CD "from the sources listed on page 317. "The marketing continues with Ayurvedic herbs, called Rasayana. After selling us on merit, "You can find more information about these writing rasayanas Quantum. . . "We are also encouraged to drink tea fit for the types of our body - Yes, from sources on page 317. My biggest disappointment, however, came in the nutrition department. I have learned not to eat many of the issues that kept me healthy for sixty-five, onion, garlic, carrots, spinach, tomato, banana, yogurt, cheese and eggs, and should drink cow's milk had not played the last few decades, should eat ghee, the butter is cooked in out of the water. Chopra says that should minimize raw food, which contradicts what I've learned about food over the last several decades. This book contains some sensible ideas. The problem is that the buyer receives only book some ideas that may use many ideas to the author tells us that we need an Ayurvedic physician or products. As usual with his books, provide scientific gossip, shocking stories and little scientific data. The theory and practice Ayurveda in India dates back over 5,000 years. Chopra urges us to Ayurvedic physicians and practices that will give us longevity and good health. Ayurveda is the «science of life» or, as preferred by Chopra, "knowledge of life. "Others say it is the science of longevity. I think outside. According to the World Health Organization, India ranks 134th of 191 countries recognized by the "healthy life expectancy. "(The U.S. ranked 24th.) There are other reasons for indigenous health statistics are so bad, but it's hard to take seriously an ancient practice that seems to have failed in their homeland. I think Deepak Chopra is essentially a good person caught in the obsession of America's reputation and fortune. I think our money is better spent on books giving guidance that we can continue without having to travel to a doctor or to buy exotic foods, herbs and essential oils.

I bought this book hoping to find a book that will be the introduction of the science of Ayurveda students in my yoga studio, they were not familiar with the matter. Chopra presents the information in terms of the West could easily understand. This happened in my Wiew translation of some of the more esoteric ideas and ways to see the interaction between nature, mind and body.
My main disappointment with the book was that it seemed to be more than a notice published by the Chopra Center in La Jolla, CA. For example, shows that a person of this constitution will benefit from drinking a herbal tea specifically for your type. "But instead of referring to the herbal ingredients in tea shows that can be purchased on the website:. In addition, proposals for aromatherapy and support health, not specifically mentioned essential oils, but again, leads the reader on a Web page from which you can apurchase. To my disappointment, this issue continued throughout the book.
If you are simply looking to get an overview of what Ayurveda is consistent clear language, this is a good starting point. For more details, David Frawley and Vasant Lad have much more to offer many books written on the subject.

    3. 0 out of 5 stars Deepak, go! You should get to the point and be clearer.
Good introduction to Ayurveda, but I must agree with other reviewers, too much advertising of products and Chopra. . .

Perfect Health provides a good introduction to Ayurveda, the ancient Indian healing system is the general public of America by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1970 and popularized by Chopra himself. Chopra introduces the ancient art of healing in a modern language, a mixture of ideas of the ancient sages of Ayurveda to the information on quantum physics, nutrition and lifestyles of today. We present a tool perfectly accessible to any reader interested in learning more about ways to influence the Ayurvedic Health. One body type questionnaire at the beginning of the book lays the foundation for the information below. Following the recommendations of the list for your body type (including exercise and nutrition), Chopra thinks that will significantly improve your health. My only concern with this book, Chopra and books in general, is the subtle way that combines advertising of Maharishi Ayurveda products and services information. It presents the benefits of Transcendental Meditation, for instance, offer ideas on how to perform meditation. Want to learn? Chopra recommends calling your local clinic of Maharishi Ayurveda. It may be true that TM should be taught in person, but secretly advertising Chopra extended to virtually all therapeutic exercises offered in the book, for aromatherapy techniques primordial sound, especially herbs that can address card from the center of Maharishi Ayurveda. To be fair, making diagrams to offer assistance in yoga postures, and very specific feeding techniques, but after reading the inspiring book, Quantum Healing and perfect health today, I must confess: I am a bit disappointed with the Chopra style. But I think we should know perfectly healthy, like most things in life are not free.
