Many of my favorite stories are short of Ray Bradbury, and "pedestrian" and "There Will Come Soft Rains" are just two of them. "The Pedestrian" is, like any work of Bradbury, illustrated and written with the precision that the reader experiences the story and not just reading from the outside. When your selection to the story, pedestrians will be yourself, in this case, a loner, a minority of minorities. Do not reveal the end, you as the reader / pedestrians a little experience of what happens to those who go against the grain of what is popular and acceptable. However, Bradbury leaves several questions at the end, there is still hope, even in an extreme situation. "Will Come Soft Rains" is a template-Bradbury, also contrasts with the typical history. In this case is that the main character is a lifeless (group) object: a house. This story is a wonderful / terrible prediction of what can be done by us as a global society, combined with the ironic twist on the title. I like both of these stories and used to learn a lot about literature, grammar, syntax, history and philosophy in the 7th grade, who were riveted by the stories and participating in critical thinking before they knew what hit.
